Crawley Ticket Holder Has Just Days to Claim EuroMillions Prize

A UK EuroMillions winner from Crawley in West Sussex is just days away from missing out on a EuroMillions prize of £1 million. The lucky ticket holder, whose good fortune fortune could be about to run dry, landed the seven-figure sum in June, but has so far failed to contact National Lottery officials.

The mystery winner correctly matched the Millionaire Maker code HQGT 61980 in the draw on Friday 2nd June, however, despite numerous appeals in the area there has still been no contact. The deadline for collection is on Wednesday 29th November and National Lottery campaigners will be doing all they can to track down the victorious ticket holder.

Carter’s on the Case

One man who will be going the extra mile to ensure the missing player has a very merry Christmas is Andy Carter, the National Lottery’s senior winners’ advisor. Desperate to brighten the festive period, the organisation’s chief huntsman said: “Time really is running out for the winner of this prize, but we are still hopeful that someone will come forward at the very last minute to claim the money.

"We’re urging everyone to check their old tickets one final time or look anywhere a missing EuroMillions ticket could be hiding. This prize could really help to make dreams become a reality for someone out there.”

Could You Be a EuroMillions Winner?

With the football season having ended a month earlier, there would have been plenty of fans at a loose end ahead of the weekend. Alternatively, the winner could have been a shopper out gathering summer supplies or a worker hoping to test their luck by picking up a lottery ticket ahead of a EuroMillions draw that offered a jackpot of £134.8 million. The day was also notable for the death of the beloved Last of the Summer Wine and Wallace and Gromit actor Peter Sallis and the anniversary of the crowning of Queen Elizabeth II.

Players in the UK are reminded that they have 180 days from the date of the winning draw to make a claim. If you think that you could have a valid claim, don’t delay and contact the National Lottery on 0845 278 8000 before Wednesday’s deadline. For more information, visit the How to Claim page.
