Date Set for Next EuroMillions Superdraw

The date of the next EuroMillions Superdraw has been announced, with the jackpot guaranteed to be raised to €130 million (approximately £110 million).

When is the Summer Superdraw?

The big event will take place on Friday 7th June, continuing a recent tradition of Superdraws being scheduled for early summer.

There has been a Superdraw in June in each of the past three years. Two of them had jackpot winners on the night - both in the UK - while in the summer of 2022 the top prize grew all the way to its limit (€230 million at the time) before being won. Again it went to a UK player, setting a record for the country’s biggest-ever win at £195.7 million.

Superdraws work exactly the same as regular draws, except there is an enhanced jackpot. Ordinarily, it would take several rollovers to create a top prize of more than €100 million, so you don’t know when the next big jackpot is going to be offered unless a Superdraw has been lined up.

If nobody wins the jackpot on 7th June, it will carry on climbing higher until someone matches all the numbers. It could even reach as much as €250 million, at which point it would be capped.

As Superdraws are scheduled a few weeks in advance, it has occasionally happened that they have had to be postponed. This occurs when the jackpot naturally builds up to an amount that is larger than the advertised value of the Superdraw. The higher jackpot is therefore allowed to continue growing, and another Superdraw is arranged for a date in the near future.

Third Superdraw of 2024

The June Superdraw will be the third event of its kind to take place this year. Back in January, the jackpot rolled over once before €144 million was split between two winning tickets in the next draw. One of the tickets was purchased in Spain, while the other belonged to Richard and Debbie Nuttall from Lancashire in the UK.

The most recent Superdraw jackpot, from 15th March, did not even get past the first night. A ticket holder from Barcelona in Spain snapped up €130 million.

The UK, France and Spain lead the way in terms of most EuroMillions jackpots won, but all nine participating countries have had multiple winners.

It will be fascinating to see where the June jackpot gets won. You can buy tickets from authorised retailers or take part online, and keep up to date with the results as soon as they are announced.
