EuroMillions Jackpot Cap Reached: €250 Million Up For Grabs

Wow! For the second time in history, the EuroMillions jackpot has reached its €250 million (£208 million) upper limit. From hereon out, the jackpot will remain static for the next five drawings. If it’s not won during this time, then the fifth draw will be a Must-Be-Won draw!

A Potential Must-Be-Won Draw?

As mentioned in the intro, the jackpot won’t stay at €250 million forever. It will be the top prize for the next five draws, and if nobody wins the jackpot during that time, the full €250 million will be shared amongst the winners of the prize tier below.

Usually, these are players who have managed to match five numbers and one Lucky Star, but if this tier has no winners then the prize would be shared amongst the tier below. The last time a Must-Be-Won draw actually ended up rolling down was back in 2008, with 15 players each winning €9.1 million.

Making History

This is only the second time that the EuroMillions jackpot has reached the €250 million cap. The jackpot cap was previously reached on the draw of March 28th, 2025, and was immediately won by a player in Austria – the biggest lottery win ever recorded in Europe, let alone Austria. Whoever wins this next one (assuming there is only one winning ticket) will join them in the record books!

Superdraw Overridden!

There was actually a Superdraw scheduled for Friday the 6th of June, but this isn’t going ahead since the jackpot is already the biggest it can be. Normally, Superdraws will propel the jackpot to a nine-figure number (often €130 million), but in this case, there’s no need for it!

At the time of writing, the next Superdraw date has not yet been confirmed.

How to Enter

If you want to try your luck in the upcoming draws, playing is simple. If you live in a country that plays EuroMillions, you’ll be able to get tickets from any authorised lottery retailer, or play using the official lottery app.

Alternatively, you can head over to our Tickets page and participate online. This option is even available in countries where EuroMillions is not played!
