EuroMillions Jackpot Hits €185 Million

It has only been a couple of months since an Austrian player became the biggest winner in EuroMillions history, but the jackpot has already surged back up to a gigantic €185 million (£156 million).

The record win in Austria, worth €250 million, came on Friday 28th March. A French ticket holder pocketed €30 million one week later, but since then the jackpot has rolled over 13 times in a row.

In the latest draw, on Tuesday 20th May, the winning numbers were 1, 8, 13, 29 and 47, plus Euro numbers 5 and 6. More than 2.2 million prizes were paid out, including one UK participant who scooped £610,125 after matching five main numbers and one Lucky Star, but nobody hit the full line. See the Breakdown page for all the draw details.

Tuesday’s jackpot stood at €164 million (£139 million) and it will now jump up by around €20 million ahead of Friday night. If it’s not won at the next opportunity, it will climb into the top 10 EuroMillions jackpots of all time.

From there, the jackpot could climb as high as €250 million once again. This is the EuroMillions Cap so it would not be able to go beyond this value. If it happens, it would equal the mark set by the Austrian winner back in March and extend a record-breaking 2025.

What About the June Superdraw?

The current jackpot will continue to grow until it is won or it reaches its limit, at which point it will be locked in place for a maximum of five draws. In the fifth draw at €250 million, it would have to be won.

A Superdraw is also scheduled to take place on Friday 6th June, with an advertised jackpot of €130 million (around £110 million). This will still go ahead if the top prize is won before that date. If the jackpot is still higher at that time, the Superdraw will effectively be postponed.

It therefore promises to be a thrilling few weeks for EuroMillions fans across Europe, so make sure not to miss out! You can buy tickets from an authorised retailer or choose your numbers online.
