9th January 2016 1:02 PM
An incredible £46.2 million (€61.3 million) EuroMillions jackpot was on offer in last night’s draw, but no players could manage to scoop the top prize, and the second prize tier of Match 5 + 1 Star was noticeably absent of winners. The jackpot has been rolling over since Friday 18th December 2015, when a Spanish participant nabbed an incredible €83.2 million.
Friday’s winning EuroMillions numbers were 5, 26, 33, 35 and 40 with Lucky Stars 3 and 8. The largest prize of the evening went to the six players from Ireland, Portugal, Spain and the UK who matched five main numbers to win £286,182 (€382,841) each. Another 54 participants grabbed £3,974 (€5,317) for matching four main numbers and two Lucky Stars, while 1,060 ticket holders matched four main numbers and one Lucky Star to scoop £177.10 (€237.00) each.
The remaining 2.6 million prizes awarded on the night were worth between £3.30 (€4.40) for matching two main numbers and £93.20 (€124.60) for matching four main numbers. Have a look at the EuroMillions Results page for Friday’s draw to learn more about the game, view a full prize breakdown and discover the winning Millionaire Maker and My Million codes.
The 744,661 UK EuroMillions players who won prizes managed to snap up a combined £4.1 million, while 548,090 Spanish participants bagged a total of €4.6 million. France was in third place last night in the total count of winners as 457,448 ticket holders shared €3.2 million.
An estimated £51 million (€69 million) will be available on Tuesday 12th January for any player who can match the entire winning line to grab the EuroMillions jackpot. Tickets are available online or from authorised retailers in all participating countries, and you can also play EuroMillions as part of a syndicate to improve your chances of grabbing a slice of an eight-figure prize! Good luck and have fun.
