EuroMillions Tickets at the Ready as Jackpot Reaches £22 Million

As EuroMillions players eagerly await tonight’s draw and the chance to win a jackpot of £22 million (€30 million), there was another reminder this week of the importance of checking tickets as one participant missed out on a prize of £1 million. The ticket in question was bought in Reading ahead of April’s Mega Friday draw and matched one of the winning Millionaire Maker codes drawn.

Despite appeals for the player to come forward, they did not contact lottery officials within the required 180-day period and missed out on not only their £1 million reward but also a private yacht getaway. The money will now be transferred to the Good Causes Fund and be used on many of the worthy community projects being supported across the country by revenue raised from lottery ticket sales.

If you have bought a ticket for tonight’s draw, make sure to keep a close eye on it and check back after the draw for the winning Millionaire Maker code as well as the all-important numbers. Playing online is one way to avoid missing out on a prize, as you will be automatically notified if you are a winner.

You could also decide to play EuroMillions as part of an online syndicate. Again, you would be informed straight away if you are due a prize, and you would also be boosting your chances of winning by buying a share in a larger number of tickets without having to worry about cost.

It has certainly been a successful few months for UK players, with one ticket holder from the country grabbing a share of the last jackpot to be won on Tuesday 13th October. An Austrian participant also landed half of the £23 million (€30.8 million) top prize, and there have been lots of big winners in the last couple of draws even though the jackpot has not been scooped. Visit the EuroMillions Results page for all the vital information from recent draws.

Players have actually been pocketing the jackpot so regularly over the last six months that there has been a lack of massive prizes up for grabs, but nobody will be turning their nose up at tonight’s impressive eight-figure offering or the Superdraw top prize on 6th November, when the jackpot will be pushed up to a guaranteed €100 million (approximately £73 million).

October’s Mega Friday draw is also looming large on Friday 30th October, giving away ten prizes of £1 million plus a choice of amazing holidays. Find out all about the Special Draws on the way, and make sure to enter tonight’s game for the chance to win some great prizes. Just remember to check those tickets. Good luck!
