EuroMillions To Create 25 UK Millionaires on Friday 8th November

The EuroMillions draw on Friday 8th November will create a guaranteed 25 millionaires in the UK. The special draw has been announced to tie in with the National Lottery’s 25th birthday celebrations, and will significantly boost your chances of winning £1 million on the night.

Although EuroMillions only began in 2004, the UK National Lottery was launched in 1994 and its first draw took place on 19th November that year. A number of events have been planned or already staged to mark the 25-year anniversary, and the upcoming one on 8th November has been specifically scheduled to reward EuroMillions players.

It has also been announced that another special draw will take place on 31st December, in which 10 UK millionaires are guaranteed.

Check Your Millionaire Maker Codes

The extra £1 million prizes are set to come through the supplementary Millionaire Maker game, which you are automatically entered into every time you buy a EuroMillions ticket in the UK. For every line you play, you receive a unique code consisting of four letters and five numbers.

In a standard draw, only one code is drawn at random as the winner. The lucky ticket holder who matches the winning code - all nine characters must be in exactly the same order - instantly becomes a millionaire.

On 8th November, though, 25 winning codes will be announced. If you match any one of the winning codes exactly, you have 180 days to claim your £1 million prize.

You will be automatically notified if you are an online winner, but if you buy your ticket in a store you will need to make sure you check the results yourself. The Millionaire Maker code is printed underneath your numbers on your ticket. Use the EuroMillions Checker to see if you have won a prize.

Better Odds Of Winning

The odds of winning a Millionaire Maker prize depend on how many tickets have been sold so they change from draw to draw. However, the chances are considerably better when there are multiple prizes put up for grabs.

If 6 million tickets are sold in the UK on 8th November, for example, the odds of winning will be 1 in 240,000 because there are 25 chances to win instead of just one. The odds of becoming a millionaire are far better than the odds of landing the main EuroMillions jackpot (1 in 139,838,160).

Your chances improve with every Millionaire Maker code you play, so you may decide to pick up several tickets for the special draw or try a EuroMillions syndicate, so you can split the cost of multiple entries with other players. It is also possible to win a prize on the main game on the same night as you win a Millionaire Maker prize.

A Big Year Continues For UK Players

The National Lottery has already held a couple of special Millionaire Maker draws this year.

On Friday 1st March, 40 players were guaranteed to become millionaires. Another big draw, on Friday 19th July, gave away another 20 prizes worth £1 million. The money comes from the £0.85 of every £2.50 ticket in the UK that is allocated specifically to the Millionaire Maker game.

As well as the big Millionaire Maker draws, UK players have scooped some sensational jackpots in 2019. The biggest of the lot came just a few weeks ago on Tuesday 8th October, when one ticket holder matched all the numbers to land £170 million.

One month on from that big win, 25 players are guaranteed to be celebrating on 8th November. Pick up your tickets now and then check out the EuroMillions Results straight after the draw.
