9th November 2016 10:01 AM
A French ticket holder scooped a fantastic jackpot of £35 million (€39.3 million) on Tuesday 8th November, as more than 1.4 million players across the continent picked up prizes. France has now had 81 jackpot winners since the game launched in 2004, more than any other participating country.
The numbers drawn last night were 5, 9, 47, 49 and 50 with Lucky Stars 8 and 9. The jackpot had been rolling over since a Portuguese participant bagged £15.6 million (€17.3 million) on Friday 28th October, which also marked the first edition of the European Millionaire Maker.
As well as the French jackpot winner, one Spanish player matched all five main numbers and one Lucky Star to win €845,567, while the other prizes won ranged from £2.80 (€4.74) for matching two main numbers to £40,037 (€65,647) for matching five main numbers. Two UK players also became £1 million richer thanks to the Millionaire Maker. You can find the winning Millionaire Maker codes, plus a full prize breakdown, in the EuroMillions Results section.
There has been a great run of EuroMillions winners recently, with four jackpots given away in the past month alone. Belgium has produced two of those, including a waste management worker from Brussels who landed £153 million (€168 million) on 11th October. Check out the EuroMillions Winners page to see where each country ranks for the most jackpots won, as well as a list of the largest winners and some notable syndicate successes.
If you think the winning feeling will continue in the next draw on Friday, you can buy tickets now to be in with a chance of getting your hands on the £15 million (€17 million) top prize. Whether you fancy joining forces with other players in a syndicate, entering online or visiting an authorised retailer in one of the participating countries, it could just be that you get the chance to celebrate like the latest lucky winner from France. Good luck!
