The jackpot stood at £26 million (€29.2 million) following a rollover on Tuesday, and more than 23 million entries were submitted for the draw across Europe.
The winning numbers were revealed to be 6, 12, 18, 25 and 41, plus Lucky Stars 2 and 6. More than 1.9 million prizes were paid out, giving a win ratio of 83 in 1,000, but only one ticket matched the full line.
It was a UK player who landed the jackpot, and the winner has wasted no time in coming forward to claim their prize. They could have waited up to 180 days to contact the UK National Lottery, but they have already put in the call.
A validation process will now be carried out before the winner receives their money. Andy Carter, senior winners’ adviser for UK lottery operator Allwyn, said: “We'll be on hand to give advice and offer access to experts who can help the winners to make the most of the win for themselves and the people close to them."
Jackpot Wins in 2025
Friday night marked the 10th time that the jackpot has been won this year. Three of those prizes have gone to the UK, two to France, two to Belgium, and one each for Austria, Ireland and Spain.
While it is a lower total than any previous year since EuroMillions started in 2004, there are still almost three months to go in 2025 and it has been a momentous year for record payouts. The three largest jackpots in history, all worth €250 million, have all been given away, starting with an Austrian win in March. An Irish family syndicate equalled the record in June, then the jackpot grew all the way back to €250 million and a French player won the same amount.
The jackpot will now reset to €17 million for the next draw on Tuesday, setting up another opportunity to become a multimillionaire. Take part online or visit an authorised retailer in any of the participating countries.
