How to Win €130 Million
The draw took place as scheduled at 20:00 GMT, with the following numbers chosen: 4-17-25-28-44 and 5-11 for the Lucky Star numbers. A player in Belgium managed to match all five main numbers and both Lucky Stars to land the boosted €130,000,000 jackpot.
The winner has 20 weeks from now in which to come forward and claim their winnings - if they don't, the prize will be forfeit! It remains to be seen whether the winner will retain their anonymity, although it's likely they will, as this has become more and more common nowadays.
What is the EuroMillions Superdraw?
Every time a EuroMillions Superdraw comes around, we always get a few questions in our inbox from fans who aren't quite sure how they work. In practice though, it's super simple. Whenever a Superdraw comes around, the value of the jackpot is greatly increased, usually to €130,000,000 - as was the case for this Superdraw.
The increase occurs regardless of the value of the previous jackpot value, or how recently it was won. However, if the jackpot is already greater than €130 million by the scheduled Superdraw date, the draw is held as-usual and a new Superdraw is usually re-scheduled. If no players win the Superdraw jackpot, then it will continue rolling upwards from the newly increased value - i.e. it won't be lowered back to where it was before the Superdraw.
What now for EuroMillions?
Since the Superdraw jackpot has been won, the EuroMillions jackpot has been reset to its starting value of €17 million, with the next draw taking place on Tuesday evening as usual.
It looks small by comparison, but €17,000,000 is not a sum to be sniffed at! If you could use €17 million and fancy getting involved in Tuesday's draw, head over to our Tickets Page.
