UK Ticket Holder Wins EuroMillions Superdraw Jackpot

The first EuroMillions Superdraw of 2022 ended in jubilation for a UK ticket holder after they matched all the numbers to win a jackpot worth €130 million (£109 million).

In the biggest draw of the year so far, players from London to Lisbon went in search of a nine-figure pay day. Millions were rewarded with some return on their investment after the winning EuroMillions numbers for Friday 4th February were revealed to be 3, 25, 38, 43 and 49, with Lucky Stars 3 and 7, but only one participant snapped up the jackpot.

Go to the EuroMillions Results page for everything you need to know about what happened in the draw, including the prize breakdowns for each country. You can also find all the associated draw results. Each participating nation runs other draws alongside EuroMillions, such as HotPicks and Millionaire Maker in the UK, France’s My Million or Spain’s El Millón.

The lucky jackpot winner can now celebrate landing one of the game’s biggest jackpots. The next step is for them to come forward to claim their prize within 180 days of the draw date.

2022 Superdraws

Super Jackpot events only happen from time to time, bumping up the top prize to €130 million even if it is much lower in the preceding draw. There were four such events in 2021, and two of them provided the platform for new records.

A Swiss ticket holder became the biggest winner of all time when they banked €210 million in February after a Superdraw a few weeks earlier. A first-time player from French Polynesia then claimed €220 million in October.

The jackpot cap increases by €10 million as soon as someone wins the maximum amount, so it currently stands at €230 million. If Friday’s Superdraw had rolled over, it may have only taken another two or three weeks to reach the upper limits of the game again.

The date of the next Superdraw will be announced in due course, when there is enough money in the Reserve Fund and the participating national lotteries decide another special event can be scheduled. In recent years the second Superdraw has been held in early summer.

This year has already seen the return of the European Millionaire Maker, with 100 prizes of €1 million paid out to players all over Europe on 21st January. The first Superdraw of 2022 has now created a winner, and the jackpot will revert to €17 million for the next draw.
