December Superdraw Set To Keep EuroMillions Jackpot Flying High

A EuroMillions Superdraw has been scheduled for Friday 4th December, making it the third special jackpot event in the space of 10 weeks. The top prize will be lifted to €130 million (approximately £110 million).

In a Superdraw, the jackpot is bumped up to a guaranteed amount (usually €130 million) regardless of whether it has just been won or is valued much lower in the preceding draw. The money comes from a Reserve Fund, which receives a small percentage of the prize fund in every draw.

Apart from the enhanced jackpot, Superdraws work the same way as regular draws. There’s no extra cost and you still have to pick five main numbers from 1 to 50, plus two Lucky Stars between 1 and 12. If nobody matches all the numbers, the jackpot can roll over until there is a winner or until it reaches its cap of €250 million.

Usually they take place every few months, but EuroMillions operators have decided to finish 2026 with a flourish by having three in quick succession. It started on 25th September with a Superdraw that was won on the night by a single UK ticket holder, before another €130 million event on 6th November.

Swisslos, the company that runs EuroMillions in the German-speaking cantons of Switzerland, announced even before the November Superdraw that another one would go ahead in December, setting up a thrilling end to the year.

There is now a chance that a jackpot of €130 million or more will be put up for grabs in most of the draws before 2026 comes to a close. The other alternative is a flurry of big Superdraw wins, but either way, it promises to be an exciting period.

The 2,000th EuroMillions draw is also coming up on Friday 20th November, while national lotteries are likely to organise separate promotions around supplementary games over Christmas time, whether that is more raffle winners or larger prizes.

You can check the latest EuroMillions Results every Tuesday and Friday evening, and make sure to take part in all the big events for the remainder of the year for your opportunity to take home a life-changing jackpot.
