Mega Jackpot for EuroMillions Birthday

The EuroMillions lottery game is almost six years old, and to celebrate this year’s EuroMillions birthday there will be a Mega Jackpot worth €100,000,000 (around £85 million) to play for on Friday 5 February, 2010. This is not the exact date of the birthday (the first draw was held on Friday 13 February, 2004) but it’s close enough, and with €100,000,000 on offer we wouldn’t dare quibble about such details!

The cost of tickets in a Mega Jackpot game is exactly the same as in a regular EuroMillions draw. The odds of winning the jackpot are also exactly the same, with each of your entries having a 1 in 76,275,360 chance of landing the top prize. The only difference between a Mega Jackpot draw and a regular jackpot draw is that the Mega Jackpot is so much bigger!

Because the amount of prize money offered by EuroMillions Mega Jackpot games is so much larger than usual, many lottery players like to invest in more tickets, and this makes a lot of sense. After all, if buying a ticket for a regular jackpot offers good value for money then buying a ticket at the same price for a Mega Jackpot is even better value.

If you would like to buy more tickets for the coming Mega Jackpot game in order to increase your chances of winning, but you don’t want to increase the amount of money that you spend personally, consider forming a lottery syndicate with a few friends and family members. We know that we always suggest this approach when there is a particularly large jackpot on offer, but it really does make sense.

To find out more about how to form a lottery syndicate (it really is very easy) take a look at our article on How to Increase Your Chances. And because the coming Mega Jackpot ties in with the EuroMillions birthday, why not celebrate in style by throwing a EuroMillions Party?

Whatever you do, don’t forget to play EuroMillions online. The demand for tickets at offline retails stores is sure to be very high, so playing online will allow you to participate in the Mega Jackpot game without spending all of your free time in endless queues!

Good luck!

PS – Don’t forget that we still have €28 million (around £25 million) to play for in the EuroMillions game this Friday 29 January! If you buy tickets online then you could enter your numbers for both draws today!
