One Player Wins Record €210 EuroMillions Jackpot

A single player from Switzerland has become EuroMillions’ biggest winner after landing a jackpot of €210 million (£180 million) in Friday night’s draw.

Biggest EuroMillions Winner

The winning numbers for 26th February were 6, 12, 22, 29 and 33, with Lucky Stars 6 and 11. It proved to be a great night for millions of ticket holders, and particularly for the lucky player who matched all the numbers.

It was revealed shortly after the draw that the jackpot-winning entry was sold in Switzerland, and now EuroMillions fans everywhere will wait excitedly to find out more about the new record holder.

The winner will now have to decide whether to stay anonymous or go public with their story, but they can already start to think about what they will do with the money.

It is the largest lottery payout ever seen in Europe and comes after EuroMillions reached its €210 million jackpot cap. Extra funds that would have been added to the jackpot instead had to flow down to the next tier, helping to create more big prizes.

Go to the EuroMillions Results page to find out about all the other prizes won in the record-breaking draw.

A Record Winter for EuroMillions

Friday’s gigantic win came on the back of a Superdraw earlier in February. The jackpot had been bumped up to €130 million and it rolled over to set up the biggest prize ever seen in EuroMillions. It only took four more draws to push it up beyond €200 million for the first time. A rollover on Friday 19th February took it up to the new jackpot cap.

A French player had previously landed exactly €200 million on 11th December, becoming the biggest EuroMillions winner of all time. The jackpot cap went up to €210 million after that big win, and now the record has been broken yet again.

The jackpot cap will now increase to €220 million, raising the bar for the second time in less than three months. It could well be that another record is broken before too long.

For now, the jackpot will reset to €17 million, with draws continuing every Tuesday and Friday night. Take part online to try and snap up a prize.
