UK Ticket Holder Wins £57.9 Million EuroMillions Jackpot

EuroMillions players in the UK have been urged to check their tickets after one lucky player matched all the winning numbers on Tuesday night to pocket a jackpot of £57.9 million. The top prize had previously rolled over for five consecutive draws.

*UPDATE: The jackpot has now been claimed. Find out more after the UK winner came forward.

EuroMillions Results for Tuesday 10th July

The numbers drawn last night were 3, 8, 26, 33 and 45, with Lucky Stars 7 and 10. There were over 1.5 million prizes given away in total, and you can see a full breakdown of all the winners on the EuroMillions Results page.

Apart from the jackpot winner, someone in Spain landed in the ‘Match 5 + 1’ category to scoop €850,110, while the other prizes spanned from £2.60 (€4.30) for matching two main numbers to £39,833 (€66,000) for matching five main numbers.

Two UK players won £1 million after matching the Millionaire Maker codes of MKMX93751 and VKMR86851, but nobody had greater cause to celebrate than the fortunate ticket holder who matched all seven numbers to bank the jackpot for the first time since it was won in France on 19th June.

Another UK Success Story on EuroMillions

The jackpot has now been won 73 times in the UK since EuroMillions was launched in 2004, and the latest winner has 180 days from the date of the draw to come forward and claim their prize. Andy Carter, the National Lottery’s Senior Winners’ Advisor, said: “Players are urged to check their tickets and, rest assured, we have plenty of champagne on ice.”

The winner will need to contact the National Lottery to start the claims process, and a meeting will then be set up for them to receive their prize in person. The lucky player can decide whether to remain anonymous or go public with their story, and can then start to enjoy their winnings.

The last UK winner claimed their money within a few days of scooping a sensational £121 million jackpot on Tuesday 24th April, but opted to keep their identity private. They became the UK’s third-biggest winner of all time, just behind the Weirs and the Bayfords. Colin and Christine Weir bagged £161 million in July 2011, while Adrian and Gillian Bayford won £148 million in August 2012.

Could You Be The Next Big Winner This Week?

More big winners are guaranteed in the next draw, with the UK set to create 13 new millionaires for Friday 13th July. The jackpot, meanwhile, will reset to £15 million (€17 million), giving players another chance to win a stunning eight-figure prize. You can take part online or visit an authorised retailer in any of the nine participating countries.
